I am a Marine Biologist and self proclaimed nature nerd, so, the environment and my impact are at the forefront of all I do. But what does this mean for my art?
I think about impact at every step
I make sure I use the minimum amount of paper, pens and resources. I try not to get hung up on perfectionism and most recently I have been sketching out my pieces to really plan what I'm going to complete within the scope of the series.
Product packaging
It is important to protect my artwork, so that it can arrive at your home intact and in the best quality, whether you are buying online or in person. So, the packaging used on my products is compostable, shown at the opening of the sleeve. I also offer paper bags to customers to take their purchases home from my in-person markets. If you buy fabric products online, the postage packets are reusable and then compostable too. Any packing I use to protect your piece is recyclable.

Small batches
I create prints in small batches ahead of markets or when requested online. This means I can offer many designs and make sure any issues are spotted early compared to using external companies.
Print to order Tshirts
I always wanted to create Tshirts but didn't want to have a large number of stock and given my enthusiasm to make lots of designs using a portal was a great idea. I can make sure people are able to browse lots of designs and keep the impact minimal.

I use my art to encourage others to prioritise nature
My art by design is to engage and educate my audience. As a self proclaimed nature nerd I hope my art encourages all to put nature first with maximum impact on the viewer and minimum impact on the environment.
